NorthCell Technology Inc. (“NorthCell”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, northcell.ca, how we use it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
We collect very little. Our website has no sign-up forms, no accounts and no advertising or analytics tracking, and it does not use cookies.
- Information you send us. If you email us at company@northcell.ca, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you choose to write.
- Basic technical information. Like all websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time. We do not use this information to identify you.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and keep a record of our conversation.
- To keep the website secure, working properly and protected from misuse.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our website and email, and only as far as needed for that service. Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., which processes the server logs described above. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Where it is stored
Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its authorities. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to ours.
How long we keep it
We keep emails and related records only as long as needed to respond to you and for our normal business records, then delete them. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention practices.
How we protect it
Our website is served over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to our email is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also withdraw your consent to our use of it, subject to legal or contractual limits. To make a request, email us at the address below; we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
Our website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add new features to our website. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
